Business for Inclusive Growth (B4IG) is a former CEO-led coalition of global businesses representing 4.4 million employees and a combined revenue of over 1 trillion USD. Launched at the G7 Summit in Biarritz in 2019, it was united in the belief that business has a central role to play in ensuring that any future economic growth is distributed fairly across society. Together with the OECD as its strategic partner, the coalition aimed to scale up business action on inequality, by advancing human rights, building inclusive workplaces, and strengthening inclusion in company value chains and ecosystems.
B4IG has now merged with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD)’s Equity Action Imperative to create the WBCSD B4IG Equity Action platform. The new WBCSD B4IG Equity Action platform unites a trusted community of leading businesses with a standing commitment to equity. As such, it gives access to a rich network of experts, methodologies, and leading practices that help businesses transform value chains and navigate an increasingly complex market landscape.
