At Babu-Space Actions, we are an interdisciplinary collective of urbanists, architects, landscape designers, and researchers committed to Gentle Care, a practice of designing for people, places, and the planet with empathy, integrity, and vision. In a world facing the pressures of climate crisis, inequality, and displacement, we offer an alternative: community-led, ethically grounded design. We work closely with those most affected by neglect, children, youth, families, and elders, to co-create environments of dignity, resilience, and shared responsibility. Our work goes beyond design. We blend academic research, participatory methods, and hands-on action to transform underused and overlooked spaces into vibrant public realms, inclusive housing, and sustainable landscapes. Whether in urban centers or rural areas, we empower communities to take part in shaping the spaces they call home. From reclaiming forgotten neighborhoods to leading educational programs and public dialogues, we believe design is not just about aesthetics, it’s about justice, care, and collaboration. We prioritize lived experience, amplify local voices, and promote circular economies that strengthen both place and people.
