Backbench

Backbench is an open platform political blog that provides an online sphere for up-and-coming writers to comment on domestic and foreign current affairs. Founded in 2012, it was conceived in order to give aspiring writers a sphere to articulate their thoughts regarding current affairs occurring both in the UK and across the globe. The site is broadly tailored towards young people (15-30), but is freely open to contributors of all ages. All you need is an opinion, and the desire to write it down. You don't even need a pen.
