Backroads Reclamation is building Canada’s first quality-controlled, industrial-scale supply chain for circular wood materials.
Currently in pre-industrial scale operations, we are actively processing and supplying premium circular wood materials while refining the systems that will power our industrial-scale rollout. We serve architects, designers, builders, manufacturers, and institutions seeking sustainable materials that don’t compromise on quality or performance.
Our mission is to divert as much wood as possible from end-of-life buildings—starting with Canada’s first-generation housing stock—and return it to service as high-quality, specification-ready material.
This is a timely solution to a growing waste crisis: Canada’s housing acceleration is driving a wave of demolition, putting millions of tonnes of wood from aging homes at risk of being landfilled. We’re here to change that—turning waste into resource, and crisis into opportunity.
What we produce isn’t recycled lumber. It’s circular wood—graded, kiln-dried, and ready for design-forward applications in building, manufacturing, and interior environments.
Beyond materials, we’re building infrastructure: a new backbone for the circular economy in construction, architecture, and design.
