BADEL 1862 is the leading Croatian privately owned spirit and wine company with headquarters, R&D and bottling plant in Zagreb while our three wineries are located in picturesque towns of Daruvar, Križevci and Benkovac. Badel 1862 was established in 1862 in Croatia, when Franjo Pokorny, the first owner, entrepreneur, trader and master distiller revolutionized the spirits industry by creating Croatia's first and most renowned herbal liqueur Pelinkovac Antuque. Since then, our company has grown to include an impressive portfolio of more than 200 brands and labels. What unites us and makes our company such an exciting place to work is our collective passion for building brands that people love. With our brands we honor tradition, build future and leave a trace in time. Badel 1862 products are currently present in more than 30 countries world-wide and export is our focus. We are a proud producer of the most awarded Croatian wines (Korlat, Vezak, Ivan Dolac) and a range of recognizable spirits among which Pelinkovac, Svarog vodka and Korlat liqueurs stand out. We also hold distribution licenses for some of the most renowned global brands (Grey Goose, Bacardi, Bombay, Martini, Dewar's, Nikka, Patron and Sierra Tequilla, Marie Brizard, Erasmus Bond Tonics) for Croatia and the region.
