BAFE Association

BAFE ASSOCIATION aims to build a European and global network of professionals based on skills, trust and friendship. BAFE is founded by alumni of the Bellevue Programme but open to anyone sharing our values. The Bellevue programme ran between 2004 and 2017. It was developed by the Robert Bosch Foundation in cooperation with the Office of the Federal President of Germany, and under the auspices of the heads of state of the participating countries: France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia and Spain. Each year, the programme enabled twelve highly qualified young executives from various government authorities to take part in a 12-month work placement in one of the ten partner countries. The goal was to promote the participants’ professional, intercultural, and European-policy expertise, as well as cross-border cooperation between the ministries of different member states. In total, 130 European civil servants from ten Member states took part in the programme. The missions of the association are to: - promote mutual understanding and cooperation between the EU Member States’ public administrations - promote the mobility of civil servants between EU Member States' public administrations - bring together European civil servants to enable collaboration and knowledge exchange - contribute to improving the quality of governance and public administration in the EU - contribute to the communication with experts at international level - build and foster a network of people sharing the European values
