Bagatela Studio Design

Bagatela Studio is a social project focused on industrial product design and artistic pieces crafted from discarded objects. It creatively gives a second life to these materials, exploring the relationship between urban waste and the socio-cultural dynamics of Porto's diverse areas. Through spontaneous street photography, we embody the role of modern gleaners in a system where everything is used and discarded at a frantic pace, only to be later collected and stored in our studio. Simultaneously, we seek to establish close connections with local and traditional commerce, including second-hand shops, welders, carpenters, hardware stores, and seamstresses, thus promoting a circular economy.
