Baghban

Sindh has lost over 50% of total forests in last two decades and has become vulnerable to climate issues such as heatwaves, droughts, flooding and more. It is impertinent to protect and restore biodiversity and natural ecosystems in rural Sindh (Pakistan). Baghban aims to work on this through: 1. Plantation drives across different parts of Sindh. 2. Consultation services to local farmers and communities on: a. Sustainable farming methods such as agroforestry b. Clean energy alternatives as opposed to wood fuels 3. Strategic partnerships and collaborations with local organizations to create a green ecosystem.
