The BAIUST Global Affairs Council, a Model United Nations (MUN) Council, was established with a vision to advance the practice of academic simulations of the United Nations. With an illustrious history of six years, we have consistently provided a platform for students to enrich their knowledge of global affairs, refine their diplomatic prowess, and cultivate their leadership acumen. Our mission is to nurture a vibrant MUN community within BAIUST, facilitating meaningful academic simulations of the United Nations that foster a deep understanding of international affairs, diplomacy, and effective problem-solving. Our ultimate goal is to empower our members, equipping them with the expertise, confidence, and sense of social responsibility needed to thrive as responsible global citizens. To fulfill our objectives, we strive for academic excellence by organizing top-tier MUN conferences and events that faithfully replicate the procedures and dynamics of the United Nations. These gatherings offer participants the opportunity to engage in rigorous debates, negotiations, and the drafting of resolutions on pressing global issues.
