Bajet Giramé is a Barcelona-based studio that develops architectural projects, urban prototypes, exhibitions, publications, and curatorial projects, aiming to explore and expand the multiplicity of material, social, and ecological relationships within emerging spatial practice.
Maria Giramé and Pau Bajet founded Bajet Giramé in 2017 after collaborating at David Chipperfield Architects in London. Both also teach at several architecture universities.
The studio is currently working on several collective social housing projects, including 175 social housing units for INCASOL in Terrassa, 83 social housing units for older people for Barcelona City Council, and 73 social housing units for El Prat de Llobregat City Council. Additionally, they are involved in the renovation of Barcelona City Hall’s entrance area and main façade, various urban planning projects, and the curation of the 2026 International Union of Architects (UIA) Congress in Barcelona. The studio is also engaged in various renovation and rehabilitation projects for domestic and productive spaces.
Bajet Giramé was awarded the ARQUIN-FAD Award 2024 in the “City and Landscape” category for its Camping Alfacs project and was a finalist for the AR Emerging Awards (UK) 2024, which recognises the 15 most influential young architectural practices of the year. Other accolades include the XI, XII, and XIII AJAC Awards and the Gold Award Best Architects 2018.
