The b a l a n c e project is an organization based out of Ottawa, Canada focused on helping consumers learn how to purchase products in a socially responsible and sustainable way.
Our clothing line B △ L A N C E, offers fashion apparel with a twist. Our products are ethically made with organic cotton and bamboo blends. Starting from the dyeing, sewing, and knitting from our Canadian supplier, and hand-printed by us, all of us products are manufactured right here in Canada from start to finish.
We ensure that the manufacturers we work with source and create their products in both a socially responsible and environmentally-friendly manner. Sourcing locally helps ensure labour practices are met, and manufacturing facilities are ensured to be up to standard. It also helps the local Canadian economy and especially small manufacturing businesses. This also reduces our company's carbon footprint because there is less carbon emissions when sourcing closer to home versus overseas.
We believe that all consumers should know where their clothing has come from and are made aware of each step of the process. From the methods of production or who made your clothing. We pride ourselves in transparency and honesty with our customers in order for consumers to make a better informed choice when purchasing products.
