Balance Her Bites

My name is Marina Murphy from Co Mayo. I’ve struggled for years with Endometriosis – if there was one week in the month when I wasn’t not in pain, that was a good month. I became truly fed up when the only solution offered was pain medication, anti-depressants, or other drugs with serious side effects. It seems that a lot of medicine today focuses on treating the symptoms, rather than tackling the underlying cause, especially when it comes to women’s health. I knew something needed to change, so I started to investigate a natural alternative to medication. I began researching superfood powders and the natural benefits they bring. My background is in culinary arts and after lots of testing, I formulated a healthy hormone & gut bite called Balance Her Bites. Nutrition is a key part of our hormone and gut health – they should work like a symphony. Nutrition not only helps create our hormones but is essential for our liver to clear excess hormones or when we no longer need them. Without nutrients, our body struggles to make hormones in sufficient quantity for optimal health and energy. What's Changed? My Endometriosis symptoms have decreased hugely. For example, the intense cramps I would have 14 days before have reduced to just 2-3 days before I am due. It has reduced bloating, reduced pain medication, food craving for refined sugar. I have more energy and my sleep pattern, hair and skin have improved. And my sciatica has practically gone. I am also now in the gym 3 days per week. The bites are part of a lifestyle change, they provide you with lots of vitamins, minerals and fibre etc., not to mention the fact it’s a delicious and nutritious snack! My mission is to help women and girls understand the importance of learning about their hormone health and how key nutrition is for it. My background is culinary arts.
