Balance Metrix enables allied health and medical practitioners to deliver nuanced healthcare in the form of testing patients' postural sway on the Balance Mat technology, monitoring any balance improvements made as a result of their interventions and repeating the tests as required.
At the time of writing in early 2025 Balance Metrix is establishing our Better Balance Initiative for residential aged care facilities and retirement living. This is where we partner with exercise physiologists and physiotherapists to run pop-up clinics and 12-week strength and balance exercise courses for older people, with Balance Mat test results used as an outcome measure.
We are also introducing a balance testing service for clients in the Australian aged care, allied health and medical sectors. Two 20-second tests on the Multimetric Balance Mat can tell you whether a patient has low, medium or high postural sway (equating to low, medium or high falls risk). This information is particularly useful for nurses in aged care.
