BalanSolver

Motivated by countless engineering hours spent with several Capacitor Banks Balancing Studies, BalanSolver was started a few years ago with a very audacious and objective purpose: “Creating an inclusive tool that allows, in a simple and usual way, the Balancing of any Capacitor Bank, serving both the Design and Development Engineering and the Operation and Maintenance Engineering, offering the solution with the lowest capacitance deviations and the lowest unbalance levels”. Connected to this objective, the search for Speed, Performance, Robustness and Reliability of the algorithms has always been present. Other very important premises considered when designing the tool were Usability, Visualization and Interoperability. The platform choice (Windows, Desktop) was motivated not only by the significant presence of Microsoft in the various markets and countries in which it operates, but also by the expressive presence of Microsoft Excel in the information management associated with Capacitor Banks and the amount of information that users need to manipulate and interact with the tool. With regard to Mobile platforms, we understand restrictions on the screen dimensions of some devices can compromise the experience with the tool. On Web platforms, despite being a viable alternative, the interface agility with Microsoft Excel would be reduced.
