Balik is a boutique smoked salmon manufactory, as it produces the best smoked salmon in the world in the alps of the Toggenburg region in Switzerland. The process follows an ancient Russian recipe inherited from the grandson of the last smoked salmon purveyor to the Tsar Nicolas II of Russia. All production steps - watering, salting, smoking and cutting - are carried out by hand. Once you've tried Balik, you cannot go back to an ordinary smoked salmon!
