Balkans Forward Foundation

The Balkans Forward Foundation is an independent initiative working to increase visibility, capacity, and influence of marginalized communities across the Western Balkans. We support new ideas and local leadership, especially among LGBT+ people, Roma, youth, and other underrepresented groups. Our work is focused on equality, participation, and practical change. We also engage in policy research to address the stalled EU integration process, with a focus on human rights, media freedom, and the rule of law. A key part of our mission is the preservation of the history, voices, and struggles of vulnerable communities in the region - so they are never forgotten or erased.
