Ball State Fashion Program

Ball State University, in the Miller College of Business, in the Department of Applied Business Studies offers a Fashion major and minor degree program. Our B.A. or B.S. in Fashion prepares you for the exciting, fast-paced world of the vast fashion industry. As a student, you will apply the theory and practice behind the fashion industry, including the fundamentals of promotion and marketing, retail buying, apparel manufacturing, wholesaling, visual merchandising, design and construction of apparel using various techniques such as flat pattern, draping, computer-aided design, fashion illustration, and textile properties. Your course of study—which will be hands-on, filled with practical assignments, and taught by outstanding faculty in small class sizes—empowers you to pursue a variety of challenging and rewarding career paths within the fashion industry.
