Bamboo Village

Bamboo Village was founded in 2018 with the goal of combating poverty and climate change. By planting and growing bamboo (these plants absorb CO2), we reduce the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere. The plantation in Africa Bamboo Village's first certified bamboo plantation is located in Uganda, about 150 kilometers northwest of the capital, Kampala. The plantation is maintained with the help of local residents and has a very positive impact at a local level by creating employment, providing bamboo as a valuable resource, and greening the landscape.
