Ban Co Secondary School is located at No. 16, Street No. 3, Do Thanh Residence - Ward 4, District 3. The school was established in 1946 - now 77 years old. Initially, the school was built with a thatched roof, plank walls, in a simple and temporary way on a wasteland and named Truong Ban Co II. By 1950, to meet the increasing needs of students in the area, Ban Co II School was built with brick walls and tiled roofs, and the number of classrooms increased. In 1957 - 1958, the school was built again. This construction time due to abundant funding, the construction was carried out on a large scale but did not last long. Because in the early 1960s, the area of Ban Co - Banana Garden had a sudden increase in population, the population increased rapidly, the number of students increased every day, forcing the Saigon government to finance the construction and expansion of the School. At the beginning of the school year 1962 - 1963, the school was inaugurated. In 1964, the school continued to build more and increase the total number of classrooms to 42 rooms. By 2012 to meet political and educational demands in the period of industrialization and modernization of the country, the school was once again upgraded and built with the funding of the City. After more than a year of construction, up to now, Ban Co Secondary School has become spacious with more than 60 classrooms and function rooms. Carrying on its shoulders a rich history, Ban Co Secondary School always carries the heavy responsibility entrusted by the Party and the People - a glorious responsibility in the cause of "Growing people". Right from the early years of its establishment, this place was chosen by the revolutionary establishment as a "National Language Dissemination Base" with the name "Popular Assembly No.1"
