Initially, the school was built with a thatched roof, plank walls, in a simple and temporary way on a wasteland and named Truong Ban Co II. By 1950, to meet the increasing needs of students in the area, Ban Co II School was built with brick walls and tiled roofs, and the number of classrooms increased. In 1957 - 1958, the school was built again. This construction time due to abundant funding, the construction was carried out on a large scale but did not last long. Because in the early 1960s, the area of Ban Co - Banana Garden had a sudden increase in population, the population increased rapidly, the number of students increased every day, forcing the Saigon government to finance the construction and expansion of the School.
