The Ban Ki-moon Foundation was launched in 2022 in New York City, with the goal of mobilizing stakeholders across sectors in the US and the Americas to advance progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Climate Agreement. A part of the Ban Ki-moon Centre Network, the Foundation has its affiliated offices in Vienna, Austria, in Seoul, South Korea, and in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The Foundation’s work in the Americas, in collaboration with global partners, will focus on addressing four timely issues: gender equity in all sectors; climate and sustainability; public health equity; and peace, security, and justice.
Ban Ki-moon Foundation’s mission is to foster leadership for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Climate Agreement by inspiring current decision-makers and empowering the next generation of leaders.
