B.A.N.C. is a Filipino-American Nonprofit Organization residing in the Greater Northern California Area that values cultural awareness, friendship, community service, and leadership.
Our Core Values:
CULTURAL AWARENESS - we practice through Philippines-centered events/providing relief funds for family members in the Philippines.
FRIENDSHIP - through Filipino and Non-Filipino centered events/promoting other Filipino owned businesses or endeavors
COMMUNITY SERVICE- providing relief funds to members/donation drives/volunteer service
LEADERSHIP - through a structured leadership team such as our board members and opportunities during events to lead
B.A.N.C. membership is open to anyone who lives in the Greater Northern California Area and wants to embrace/learn about the Philippine culture.
Established in 1991. First president is Delia Hoeflich.
The organization started when a group of Redding Filipinos felt homesick and wanted to get back in touch with their cultural roots and to also create more friendships with other Filipinos in the area. The first general meeting was held at Oak Bottom.
