Bandhab is a Danish Non-profit organization which started its journey in 2006. The organization was initiated as a friendship association between the two countries. The organization was established by a group of Danes who had been associated with an education based development project namely Gono Biddalaya (Peoples' schools) in Bangladesh, with the inspiration from Folkehøjskolernes (Danish folk high school) model. Currently, the organization covers approximately 1300 beneficiaries in mostly women in the rural area of Bangladesh.
