Bangladesh National Scientific and Technical Documentation Centre (BANSDOC) is the national apex body in the field of ICT based scientific & technological information and documentation services of the country. This organization provides up-to-date information to the scientists, researchers, technologist, industrialists, planners, policy-makers and relevant people for socio-economic development of the country. It has acquired the status of autonomous body by the BANSDOC Act’2010. Objectives To build up a scientifically oriented society and science based nation through dissemination of scientific and technological information provided by BANSDOC. Functions To collect, process, preserve, edit and disseminate information in all fields of scientific research and experimental development in the area of natural science, agriculture, medical science, engineering, industry and technology. To provide information as per needs of researchers working in research organizations, academic institutions, nationalized industries or any other sectors. To ensure acknowledged information for researcher, policy maker, planner and manager. Encourage researchers and scientists of the country to associate other people working in the same field of interest both home and abroad. To publish materials on scientific information related issues. To arrange training program on information science.
