Battery As iNtegrated Structure High-Endurance
Experimental UAV (BANSHEE UAV) is a interdisciplinary engineering team consisting of aerospace, electrical & computer, and mechanical engineering students.
The long-term goal is to create a ultra-high endurance VTOL surveillance/payload delivery drone enabled by:
• Harnessing energy from the environment through solar power
• Induction wireless charging via power lines and ground charging stations
• Replacing parasitic weight structural components with structural power generation/storage devices (e.g. wing
spar battery)
