How was the DAOs name selected? Our name is Banyan DAO after the Banyan Tree, a plant that grows on another plant, when its seed germinates in a crack or crevice of a host tree or edifice. It then grows around the host tree until it finds roots in the ground, and then sends new roots down from extending branches to form a new trunk.
