A DAO is an acronym for “Distributed Autonomous Organization”. Think of it as a membership club where people from diverse backgrounds blend their talents into synergistic projects. How does a DAO work? Decision making power is distributed across our organization, and we use blockchain technology to govern membership, voting, and our treasury. On top of that we are building a culture of distributed leadership and transparent experimentation to find the best ways to work together. What’s the vision of Banyan DAO? Create a community that works together to learn web3 technologies and best practices, network with other entrepreneurial leaders, build products and services together, share in the decision making and value creation we enable. What’s the mission of Banyan DAO? Our mission is to promote human flourishing by growing a community of entrepreneurial leaders. Who are the members of Banyan DAO? Banyan DAO members represent every continent on the globe. Our decentralized approach allows members to contribute their professional gifts to projects based on their desired schedule while learning from others halfway around the world. How was the DAOs name selected? Our name is Banyan DAO after the Banyan Tree, a plant that grows on another plant, when its seed germinates in a crack or crevice of a host tree or edifice. It then grows around the host tree until it finds roots in the ground, and then sends new roots down from extending branches to form a new trunk.
