Bapuleng specialises solely in social management services. Our resettlement experience spans 12 years. This entails preparation of resettlement action plans (RAP), resettlement policies and procedures; managing and implementing resettlement-related socio-economic and asset and infrastructure baseline studies; facilitating the relocation of assets to relocation sites; establishing temporary relocation facilities where required; and establishing and facilitating resettlement working groups. Bapuleng has been conducting stakeholder engagement for 18 years. Tasks have included identification of stakeholders (interested and affected, directly and indirectly impacted), the development of stakeholder databases, development and distribution of notifications through the appropriate, fair and transparent channels, facilitating public meetings, and responding to public comments and queries. Bapuleng has established and facilitated steering committees to assist the contractor resolve labour disputes pertaining to matters outside the employee/employer relationship and disputes from community members. We have 16 years of research experience. This entails implementing socio-economic baseline surveys, household surveys, asset and infrastructure surveys and conducting informational research. Bapuleng has 8 years of experience conducting Social Impact Assessments (SIA). These have been mainly for mine expansion and urban developments. We have accumulated 12 years of experience undertaking social management for infrastructure projects. We are responsible for all social-related activities on projects which entails all the services listed above as well as project management responsibilities and any other relevant requirements that may arise during the course of the project. Bapuleng has experience working in communal areas, rural and urban settings, townships and privately-owned farm properties. We have 12 years of experience working on mega projects (more than R1 billion).
