Barbara Levin is a distinguished Clinical Scholar at Massachusetts General Hospital's orthopaedic trauma unit and an internationally recognized patient safety champion and a renowned nurse expert with four decades of healthcare and legal experience. As a certified orthopaedic nurse (ONC), certified medical-surgical nurse (CMSRN) and Legal Nurse Consultant (LNCC), she recently achieved the prestigious Fellow Designation (FNAON) from the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses - the highest recognition in orthopaedic nursing. Barbara has shaped healthcare policy as Chair of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing (2017-2020), National Director of NAON (2012-2015) and President of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (2004-2005). Her pioneering contributions have earned prestigious recognition, including the Partners in Excellence Award and the Donahoo & Dimon Memorial Clinical Legacy Lectureship Award.
