Founded in 1963 at the heart of the Vinho Verde Region, Adega Ponte da Barca includes a 900-hectare production area located in the valleys of the rivers Lima and Vez. Our cooperative winery has nowadays about 1,100 members across the Ponte da Barca and Arcos de Valdevez counties. In recent years, we brought our extensive knowledge in Vinho Verde winemaking and the latest techniques and most sophisticated technology together to stay ahead of market trends and continuously improve the quality, and innovative profile of our wines while preserving their character and authenticity. The excellence of our wines has raised our visibility in the national market and many foreign markets, and Adega Ponte da Barca has received unanimous praise from critics and consumers, and numerous awards all around the world. To help establish its position as a leading producer in the Vinho Verde Region, Adega Ponte da Barca in 2008 co-founded Viniverde together with other regional wineries. This partnership has created to strengthen the position of the Vinho Verde wine and the brands Viniverde represents and exportation volume to markets with great potential.
