Barefoot Philippines is a sector-based organization founded in S.Y. 2015-2016 in the Ateneo de Manila University. Acting as a volunteer arm for UNICEF, Barefoot focuses on the empowerment of children in rural communities such as Katutubo Village, Peace Kamp, and Barangay Looc. Through community empowerment, the organization hopes to form environments that promote every child’s holistic development and right to live a dignified life.
Barefoot aims to provide sustainable, contextualized assistance—both structural and formative—for children in rural communities.
