Jim Barker founded the firm in 2001, following a more than two-decade career on Capitol Hill, having served as a Chief of Staff in both the US Senate and the US House of Representatives, and as a Committee Staff Director. For nearly two decades, the firm has provided strategic counsel to our clients across the United States before the Federal Government—both the legislative and executive branches.
Ryan Leavitt joined the firm as a Partner, bringing a decade of Capitol Hill experience having served in senior policy roles in both the US Senate and the US House of Representatives—including as a Legislative Director and Deputy Chief of Staff. During his tenure working in Congress, Ryan also served as a Counsel on the Senate Judiciary Committee and worked for a Member of Senate Leadership on their floor team.
Our congressional and private sector experience has given us unique and valuable insights into how Senators, Congressmen, Executive Branch personnel, and senior staffers deliberate and make public policy decisions and most importantly—how to effectuate positive outcomes for our clients.
