Founded in 2001, Barnesmith (formerly Ivysport) traces its roots all the way back to the establishment of Harvard in 1636. At that time, Harvard and its subsequent Ivy rivals paved a path of excellence in both academics and athletics. Barnesmith grew out of the traditions of the Ivy League, itself an athletic conference formalized by the eight Ivy schools many years later in 1954. Known as the "Ancient Eight" of the Ivy League - Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, Princeton and Yale are more than America's finest colleges. They represent the passionate drive to succeed in learning, athletics, and the game of life.
Princeton alumnus Eric Barnes established Barnesmith to capture the rich tradition of the America's best colleges in a line of current, classic and distinguished clothing.
