Bartinney

Bartinney craft award-winning, small-lot wine, which is enjoyed around the world, at the Bartinney Wine Bar, in Stellenbosch town and by guests in the estate Tasting Shed. The Bartinney Wine Estate is set on the dramatic slopes of Botmaskop alongside the picturesque Banhoek Valley in Stellenbosch. Established in 1912, Bartinney has been in the Jordaan family hands since 1953. Now Michael and Rose Jordaan tend to the 28 hectare farm. Rose has rejuvenated the farm, stripping out alien plants and reintroducing 7,000 trees and native fynbos corridors. Using biological pest control rather than spraying and installing solar energy, have contributed to the farm achieving zero carbon status.
