Basaltina S.r.l. is the quarry owner of Basaltina® natural stone and exclusive owner of the trademark. Founded in 1925 by Giuseppe Tecchi, the Company is the owner of the unique quarry located in Bagnoregio (VT) near Rome. Since then, Basaltina S.r.l. combines high-standard craftmanship with the harmonious lines of a family firm, pursuing values that give pride of place to human relationships. Basaltina® is unique. Its structure and colour are the result of the confluence of lava, fire, earth and time. This mix makes Basaltina® durable, versatile, suitable for both historical and modern design projects. Thanks to its quality and technical characteristics, Basaltina® stone can be used for interior walls and floors, heavy traffic commercial floors, but also for exterior cladding and pavers, even in cold climates, being completely frost resistant. It also does not react to common kitchen acids, making it a very good choice for a kitchen counter top. The neutral, charcoal gray color blends perfectly with other colors and the subtle markings and uniform appearance works well in minimal, traditional or contemporary design. Basaltina®, one of the many excellences of the “made in Italy”, is admired for its minimalist look, ancient and modern at the same time, but always elegant and sophisticated.
