Base4NFDI - Basic Services for the NFDI

Base4NFDI creates the basis for better findability, accessibility, interoperability and reusability of research data in all disciplines. Our goal is to develop common, technical services via adaptation or extension of already existing services. All institutions in the scientific community (and beyond) are welcome to join the endeavor of developing these services and submit proposals via the sections of the German National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI). After a proposal review by a panel of experts, the development teams receive funding from the German Research Foundation (DFG) and implementation and training support from Base4NFDI. Finally, the NFDI basic services will be offered permanently to the scientific community after passing three stages of development (initialisation, integration, ramping-up). Base4NFDI thus actively contributes to the systematic opening and networking of the German science system.
