BaseNet was founded in 1994 from an ICT company founded by Jan and Theo Dorresteijn that developed custom software for the business community. Developed websites for real estate agents and intranet to manage residential properties for sale.
This service grew to include a large number of real estate agents as customers in the Netherlands and abroad.
Based on the customization, a CRM/ERP/DMS application was used as a basis. Due to demand from brokers, this system was ultimately developed as an application for the internet via MSDOS, Windows and Mac. Java was used as a programming language for this.
The success of the system led to the establishment of Realworks BV in 2004, with the NVM acquiring a majority stake. Realworks served the brokers and BaseNet retained the rights to the software for the other branches.
Parallel to Realworks, BaseNet developed a package for the legal profession. The CRM/ERP/DMS basis continued in joint development, with industry-specific issues being developed by the respective companies.
Both companies grew to become market leaders. BaseNet has also opened international branches in Belgium, Spain and England.
In 2016, the interest in Realworks was sold to the NVM.
In 2023, BaseNet transferred its shares and rights for the legal profession, notarial practice and accountancy to Blinqx.
The experiences and developments in these successful CRM companies now form the basis for BaseCRM BV to conquer the medical market.
