While companies like Square and PayPal process millions of digital payments, they are limited in the currencies and assets they support. If you owned shares of stock in Google for example, you could not use them to purchase a cup of coffee at your local coffee shop. In a world where nearly every asset—currencies, commodities, and even in-game credits—is traded digitally, it makes no sense that they not be interoperable. BASElayer is pioneering this effort. Its expansive network facilitates direct payment between different asset classes, allows for rules and behaviors to be directly programed into any asset, and supports easy integration of legacy financial systems. However, unlike its counterparts, BASElayer is a completely open development platform designed to help developers create and deploy financial applications.
