The main purpose of the Press Club is to protect the profession of journalism, which encompasses written, audio, visual and electronic communication and the internet, such as newspapers, magazines, radio, television; To protect the traditions and ethical principles of the profession, to ensure the full realization of freedom of expression and freedom of the press in Türkiye, to ensure that the right to information, which is one of the fundamental human rights, can be exercised without any pressure or limitation, to defend the right of everyone to obtain information, the right of the public to receive accurate news and to learn the truth, the right to communication, expression of thought, criticism and comment, and freedom of expression and freedom of the press; to work for the protection and development of the professional rights and interests of journalists; to contribute to raising the economic and social welfare of its members.
