Portable batteries (below 2kWh) used for e-scooter, e-bikes, personal mobility and a range of home and garden tools, contain significant amounts of stored energy so are dangerous if they fail. And they're more liable to physical damage simply because they can be carried (and dropped.) Yet they are not subject to the same level of control as batteries above 2kWh.
BatteryIQ is a 'Smart' BMS that's built into the battery at the point of manufacture in place of the normal 'dumb' circuit fitted by most manufacturers. It continuously broadcasts via radio safety status information, enabling local reading of safety and performance.
