About BatteryPass-Ready
Co-funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the BatteryPass-Ready project aims to support the implementation of the EU battery passport by developing a test system that enables companies to validate the conformity of their digital product passport solutions. This test environment will help to assess compliance with key requirements, including data completeness, structure, and format, while also evaluating interaction between stakeholders—namely distributors, IT service providers, and European Commission systems. Building upon the foundational work of the Battery Pass consortium, BatteryPass-Ready will provide guidance for implementers and for policymakers. BatteryPass-Ready is a joint project of Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology IPK, acatech (National Academy of Science and Engineering), Technische Universität Berlin and GEFEG as well as the associated partners VDA, VDMA, ZIV and Bitkom.
