Battle For Blindness

Battle for Blindness is a Non-Profit Organization that came into being to support the visually impaired. With a firm belief that it is an individual’s vision that takes a person places in life, Battle for Blindness aims to give wings to the lives of the visually impaired. As per one of the latest reports released by WHO, there are about 39 million blind people around the world. We at Battle for Blindness understand that every such person deserves to receive support and assistance, something that we wish to achieve 100% in the coming years. It is a matter of pride for us that our founding members and volunteers comprise of defense personnel and ex-servicemen all of whom are associated in an honorary capacity with us. We would like to bring to your attention that before the inception of Battle for Blindness, we have researched extensively and spoken to multiple visually impaired individuals solely to understand areas where they need help. It is through these interactions that we derived that many visually-impaired students have an urge to pursue their higher education for which they need to move away from home but do not find stay facilities that are visually impaired-friendly. With our focus on this goal, we have decided to introduce superior-quality hostel facilities that house state-of-the-art infrastructure and help the visually impaired lead independent and fulfilling lives. At Battle for Blindness, we wish to educate the world that loss of eyesight can never be a hindrance for the visually impaired because the world is full of possibilities, and the team at Battle for Blindness is working day in and out to bring these possibilities closer to the blind.
