Bayston Group Business Law started in 2007 as part of the first wave of #newlaw firms. Leisa (ex Macquarie) and Alister (ex Smorgon Steel) knew that legal services had to be done differently. They'd each been customers of legal services and wanted to provide services focused on outcomes, not process, and with a commercial perspective as paramount. Bayston Group was enabled by a tipping point in accessible technology like the iPhone and cloud computing services. That enabled Bayston Group to provide nimble, anywhere, quality and targeted legal services that people wanted. The firm deliberately kept small in number but expanded using a freelancer lawyer model to broaded the service offering. The firm traded for 15 years with great success.
The next wave of technology was the trigger for Leisa and Alister to move on to a new model. Alister and Leisa now work at @Aitken Partners, a century old firm with a new generation of business minded lawyers for the 21st century. Follow the link below to go there.
