Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Nebraska

At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Nebraska, we are a force for change. Our Bigs, parents, board, staff, donors and Littles work to ensure that children reach their biggest possible futures. By igniting potential through one-on-one friendships, we change lives. Nearly 80% of our Littles live in poverty – but through our programming futures are transformed. Youth show up to school more, they graduate high school, they get more education, they feel better about who they are, they even improve their relationships with their parents. We currently have almost 40 Littles who are waiting for their Bigs. Our two programs match Littles – young people in the community with Bigs (volunteer mentors). School Based Bigs are high school sophomores, juniors and seniors, while Community Based Bigs are adults from our community.
