The Bangladesh Business and Disability Network (BBDN) is a voluntary group of representatives from business, industry, employers’ organizations and selected non-governmental and disabled peoples’ organizations. BBDN has a primary purpose of facilitating disability and work place diversity in Bangladesh from the perspective of the business and human rights cases.
BBDN aims to work with governmental, non-governmental, disabled peoples’, educational, international and private voluntary organizations and the business community to share knowledge and information and engage in activities of mutual benefit related to disability in the workplace.
BBDN believes that by participating in such a network that will facilitate knowledge sharing and other activities, members can benefit from improved productivity, reduced employee turnover and associated costs, safer and better workplaces and increased customer and community brand loyalty. Employers will increase their capacity to address their needs related to diversity, corporate social responsibility, legal adherence and human resources.
