Our design studio is based in Crown Heights Brooklyn New York, where our Live Online Sewing Classes are streamed. INSPIRATION: We care about the earth and don't want to add more to the pollution issues with poor fabric waste management, so we create our pieces from sample fabric that big fashion brands throw away. These imperfect fabrics challenge us to create beautiful garments out of scraps. . . PURPOSE: We aim to inspire the dyslexic creative community to be proud of their differences because thats what make you great. Mixing different shapes and textures to make a statement that moves one to be courageous . . WHO: Based in Brooklyn, New York I started making my own clothes at 14 because I could not afford to buy the newest fashions. Always thinking differently form my peers I decided to name the brand "BCD PLANET", the initials of my name. . . CORPORATE: I continued studying fashion through the years into college and graduated with a B.S. degree in Technical Design for Apparel Production from the Fashion Institute of Technology. After graduation I landed My 1st corporate industry job at Ralph Lauren. After 5 years I felt the need for more purpose behind designing. . . WHY: We are working towards working with breast cancer, autism, and dyslexia organizations because my mother is a breast cancer survivor, my younger brother has autism, and I have dyslexia.
