BCIT Women in Computing (WiC) is a student-run club. WiC was founded by a group of like-minded individuals who wanted to create a safe space for the female students in Computing programs at BCIT.
WiC welcomes all students from the Burnaby and Downtown campuses who support the club's goals of
• Empowering women in a male-dominated industry,
• Promoting women in Computing and Technology, and
• Connecting students with female professionals in the Vancouver Tech Industry.
By hosting events and collaborating with local companies, WiC supports its members by sharing tips, tricks, and networking opportunities. Past WiC events include Meet and Greets, Resume & Cover Letter Mini Panels, and Game Nights.
