BD Otomotiv A.Ş. has been active in the conversion of Light Commercial Vehicles from diesel to electric since since the late 1990’s. Based on the latest technological platform of its powertrain, the group has to date converted approximately 500 vehicles, mainly based on donor vehicles from Fiat and Renault.
BD Otomotiv focuses on the “Electrification of Transportation” in its home market Turkey and several other metropolitan areas in Europe. BD Otomotiv is active in the distribution, production and charging of electric vehicles. BD Otomotiv’s business model is to offer various e-mobility solutions for both corporate and individual needs.
Our philosophy
BD Otomotiv believes that the currently evolving global trends, among which urbanisation, social-demographic shifts and climate change, will have a great impact on the way the transportation systems in urbanised areas are operated. Mobility has great value to cities and the people living it them. In order for mobility to remain possible at the same levels of comfort without the negative impacts of the current oil-based solutions, sustainable alternatives need to be integrated into our systems. From this perspective BD Otomotiv is offering 100% electric Light Commercial Vehicles to its customers.
Our approach
In order to offer the best possible electric vehicle solutions, we chose to based our vehicles on existing Light Commercial Vehicles from large OEM’s. These vehicles are then converted to 100% electric vehicles by removing the combustion engine, gearbox, fueltank and related items, and replacing these with a fully electric drivetrain. In order to achieve the highest levels of quality, we use top of the line electric vehicle components from well-reputed suppliers. To underline this quality, all our vehicle come with a 5-year or 150.000 km warranty on the electric drivetrain. To assure the safety of our products, the entire BD Auto vehicle line-up is certified by a European Type Approval.
