The objective of Humane First movement is to promote inter-faith harmony in Bangladesh, cutting across class, ideological and religious divides. The movement intends to create a culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence in Bangladesh through creating spaces for dialogue and exchange. At present, the movement is based on social media campaigning to promote the message “Be Humane First”- to encourage people to express solidarity. The campaign at present is also promoting real-life stories of inter-faith harmony. In long run, humane first movement intends to advocate for curriculum reformation, urging the authorities to promote peace and tolerance through educational curriculum. The movement aims to be inclusive- of people from all different walks of life, irrespective of their religious beliefs; as long as they are tolerant and believe in living in harmony with others in the society.
