After a rebranding exercise Beacon Security is now Convergint Technologies UK, Ltd. Beacon Security was originally founded in 1994 and established itself as pioneers in access control, electronic security and personnel management systems. In early 2015 Beacon Security was acquired by Convergint Technologies, the worlds largest independent security integrator and now, in addition to its day to day operations, acts as the central hub for activity throughout the wider EMEA region. After the initial acquisition Beacon was referred to as "Beacon Security – a Convergint Technologies Company". Finally in January 2017 rebranding took place to "Convergint Technologies UK, Ltd". Convergint Technologies established itself in 2001 in North America and has consistently grown year on year during that time both through organic growth and strategic geographic acquisitions. During this time annual turnovers have increased to circa $500 million. Core to the growth strategy is being product agnostic; instead of being tied to one provider or one manufacturer, Convergint promotes non-proprietary systems enabling you to avoid sole source dependency.
