Beams develops an intraoperative probe (called TRIOP) dedicated to helping surgeons localising precisely and in real time tumor residues and removing them while preserving surrounding sound tissues. Intended for heath facilities with a nuclear medicine department, this probe aims to better preserve the patients' quality of life.
Because its working principle is based on β particles detection, TRIOP is independent from the cancer type. Futhermore, it can be coupled to an excision tool or a suction device, adding them a new functionality and turning them into "smart devices".
